摘要：随着科学技术的飞速进展，现代交际手段层出不穷，人与人之间已不仅仅局限于面临面的交流,人们可从凭借基于计算机网络的人际交流（下文称为CMC）方式，通过各种渠道，如聊天室、博客、电子邮件或电子布告栏体系来实现各种信息的交换。随着英语学习的普及，在网络交流中，人们不仅利用汉语，还经常夹杂着利用英语，这种中英混合利用的语言现象在语言学中称为语码转换。语码转换是指交际者在对话历程中以一种语码转换到另一种语码的现象。而语码则是不同种类的语言或者同一种语言的不同方言变体的总称。目前，国内外学者主要以社会语言学、句法学、心理语言学、会话分析及语用学五个方面临语码转换进行了探讨，提出了几点语码转换方式并对这些方式进行了验证。语码转换是社会语言学探讨的一个重要课题，以探讨内容上大致经历了功能探讨、结构探讨和动因探讨。有关语码转换各种功能的表现方式，即语码转换在哪些方面表现哪些功能的体系理论还不尽完善。作为一种独特的、非传统的语言形式，网络语言不同于任何现有的语体有其自身的便捷，生动的特征，因而网络语码转换现象也将呈现出不同的功能。基于Mayers-Scotton的修订版标记方式，本论文的探讨目的是以社会语言学的角度探究中国网络聊天中汉英语码转换的功能，并进一步分析其动因，这将为我们进一步研究语码转换的社会功能提供很好的材料。本探讨中涉及的网络语言是指国内网络语言交际中利用的自然语言。调查对象为笔者的同学和朋友。所收集的数据均来自即时通讯软件的聊天记录（语音、视频聊天除外）。按照简单随机抽样的要求和自愿参与的原则，笔者向10对利用者索要聊天记录，并应用定量与定性相结合的探讨办法对发生的1387次语码转换进行了统计分析。分析后发现，网络聊天中的汉英语码转换主要实施了七大功能，即填补词汇空缺，表征时尚，引用，委婉，经济，展现语言技艺，制造幽默。另外，本探讨发现男女在这些功能的利用上是有差别的，最后本论文揭示了人们进行语码转换的主要动因及男女在这些功能利用上有着差别的理由。本论文为语码转换的探讨提供了一个新视角，丰富了社会语言学中语码转换的实证探讨，同时对对外汉语教学及跨文化交际具有一定的现实作用。关键词：语码转换论文网络聊天论文标记方式论文功能论文
