摘要:二十世纪六十年代末,美国《圣经》翻译家尤金·奈达提出了在翻译论述和实践进展史上具有重要里程碑作用的“功能对等”翻译论述,这种翻译论述从现代语言学,社会符号学从及信息论为论述基础,其对等不仅仅局限在原语和目的语之间词汇和语法的转换,对原语读者的体会和目的语读者的体会是否一致也同样关注。奈达提倡翻译是客观内容对等而非形式的对等,他还重视目的语接受者的反应,从合适,自然,贴切的目的语表达为翻译的中心任务,这为翻译工作者提供了很重要的翻译论述。随着西方翻译论述对中国翻译论述的影响日益加深,中国的翻译家也渐渐提出了自己的翻译论述。严复从中国传统美学和文学评论为论述基础,提出了著名的“信达雅”翻译标准,这个标准的提出对中国的翻译界有重要的影响,其赞成与反对之声也层出不穷,不管如何,严复的翻译论述确实给翻译者们提供了较为完美的翻译标准。因此看来,奈达的翻译论述与严复的翻译论述都为译者提供了翻译标准,两大著名的翻译论述也存在不同点与相似之处,本论文通过萨克雷《名利场》的中文译本对此作出分析,通过对文化信息的处理,对修辞格的处理从及对词汇、句子、段落、篇章等的处理来对比两大翻译论述,并且分析了差别产生的理由。文章也对奈达“功能对等”翻译论述从及严复的“信达雅”翻译标准作出了详细的解释,同时详细简介了两大论述产生的论述基础。这为我们更好地理解两大翻译家的翻译论述提供了有利条件。本论文在分析严复“信达雅”翻译标准和“功能对等”翻译论述各自特征基础之上,通过解读《名利场》的翻译,分析出译者在两种翻译论述影响下对不同信息的处理,最终找到相同点与不同点,同时,作者也将提出自己的观点,希望广大翻译者在今后的翻译工作中做的更加出色。关键词:奈达论文功能对等论文严复论文信达雅论文异同论文《名利场》论文
