摘要：My Country and My People是我国著名国学大师林语堂代表作之一。本论文以勒弗菲尔(Lefevere)提出的“操纵”(manipulation)论述为框架,以社会文化角度比较了My Country and My People的两个中译本：20世纪30年代的黄嘉德译本与80年代的郝志东等的译本。比较的目的在于揭示不同社会文化背景下的意识形态、诗学以及赞助人三因素是如何作用于译者的翻译实践,并影响其行为的。勒弗菲尔是翻译探讨学派的主要代表人物之一,他将翻译活动归入文化系统并进行探讨,讨论了意识形态、诗学及赞助人对译者翻译文本和翻译对策的选择所产生的影响,提出翻译即改写这一论断。不同的时代,不同的译者,不同的文化环境和历史背景,便有不同的意识形态倾向,受不同的主流诗学和赞助人的制约。译者总是在意识形态、诗学传统和赞助人的操纵下使译本尽可能被更多的目的语读者接受。本论文在操纵论述的指导下,通过比较上面陈述的两个中文译本,指出不同的历史环境、意识形态、赞助人、主流诗学会影响到译者的翻译行为和翻译对策,并进一步影响到译文,由此不同时代的译者,他们在语言表达方面有着着很大的差别。本论文以语言、风格和文化等方面对两个译本进行了比较探讨,共分五章。第一章是引言,介绍了本论文的探讨目的,探讨策略,探讨作用以及文章结构。第二章探讨了操纵论述的由来,并对其意识形态、诗学以及赞助人作了简单介绍。第三章对林语堂、My Country and My People的内容以及所选择的两个中文译本进行了介绍。第四章对两译本进行评析,涉及到措词、风格、句子结构等方面的比较,分别以意识形态、赞助人、主流诗学等方面阐述了影响,然后对两本译本的质量做了简单评估,得出黄嘉德的译本更接近译者的写作风格这一结论。第五章是全文的结论。通过两个译本的比较,揭示了译者的确会受到各种操控因素的影响,并在译文中有所体现,而通过对译文的浅析,可看出译者行为的痕迹和倾向。如果要进行文本和译者行为的相互联系印证,则需要将文本因素和译者因素结合起来,将翻译内部因素和外部因素结合起来等,才可能全面而客观的认识翻译的活动。关键词：My论文country论文and论文My论文People论文意识形态论文诗学论文赞助人论文译者行为论文
