浅析语言学戏剧对白翻译中人际作用再现设计

摘要：戏剧作品在英汉之间的翻译已有很多年的历史。戏剧对白是戏剧作品中最重要的构成部分。剧中角色之间错综复杂的联系以及剧情的演变都是通过戏剧对白来建立、体现和维持的。人际作用是系统功能语言学中的一个重要概念,它可以体现语言交际者之间的联系,可以表达说话者的身份、地位、态度、动机、推断以及说话者之间的亲密程度等。由此,人际作用在戏剧对白中是极其丰富,也是非常重要的。可以说,人际作用的再现决定了戏剧翻译的成功与失败。但是,每一种语言对人际作用的表达方式有同有异。汉语和英语也是如此,这就为翻译历程中再现人际作用带来了一定的困难。《雷雨》是中国现代戏剧之经典作品。剧中,曹禺创造了八个性格迥异、生动鲜活的人物。该剧通过对白,充分反映了各个角色本身的身份,地位,态度,动机以及角色之间微妙而错综复杂的人际联系和矛盾冲突。这一经典剧作于1958年被王佐良先生和巴恩斯先生合译成英文,译本赢得了中外读者的好评。基于Halpday的系统功能语言学,语气和情态是实现人际作用的主要资源。由此,本论文通过比较浅析《雷雨》及其英译本中的对白,分别以语气和情态两方面探讨译者是如何再现原文中的人际作用。探讨发现,在语气方面,引起人际作用再现的困难主要来自以下三方面：首先,英语缺乏汉语用来表达人际作用的语气助词；其次,汉语缺乏英语用来表达人际作用的限定成分；第三,英语和汉语对主语的利用也不同。就情态而言,文化背景不同的人对命题的态度或对态度的表达方式可能会不同,具体体现在对情态值和情态倾向选择的不同。本论文通过译例尝试找出了在英汉语当中,造成语气和情态差别的理由,以及译者应该采取何种对策,既使得译文人际作用忠实再现,又能更好的被译入语读者所接受。关键词：人际作用的再现论文系统功能语言学论文戏剧对白的翻译论文《雷雨》英译本论文
