摘要:中国古典诗词是中国文学的瑰宝,诗中的“留白”美,为读者提供了丰富的想象和耐人寻味的意境。空白与未定性,是中国诗学的内在精蕴,大大地拓宽了古诗的审美空间。看似没有写出道明的东西却能在读者心中激起无数幅心画,以而产生言近旨远、含蓄隽永的审美效果。在古诗英译中展现“留白”美,是准确传达作品精神的需要,是翻译美学的本质要求。古诗中的“留白”,“未定性”需要合理适当的填补,怎样把握填补程度,同时留下合适空间,才不会导致审美感受的不及与过之,也不会使文本中的审美价值和美学效果丧失殆尽,文学的魅力也会由此大打折扣处理策略,是本论文要探讨的不足。中国古诗中“留白”艺术现象不仅源于古诗特殊的语言结构,也反映了其内在的认知历程。以Langacker为代表的认知语法提出用认知来解释语法结构。他提出了意象论述,因为突显在其中的重要作用,又叫意象突显论述,他认为四种因素——突显、选择、视角和详略度影响意象的形成。意象论述认为对于同一情景不同人形成不同的识解,并通过各种突显来体现。因为古诗中的留白充满了未定性,译者可做出多样的解释,不同译本就是对其不同的识解。本论文运用意象突显论述,以不同角度选择、视角、突显和详略度描述了语法形式及其在古诗留自传递中的体现。将意象突显论述运用与古诗留白效果再现的历程中,古诗意象突显与省略之间,对诗中意象的描写加以突显,如描写的精细程度,对词汇的选择等都会影响留白美学效果。本论文旨在运用认知语言学中的意象突显原则来浅析中国古典诗词英译中“留白”艺术现象的认知历程,通过浅析译者内在的认知机制与原空白架构的密切联系,我们能深入译者的思维历程,以而了解在古诗词英译历程中再现这种艺术特点的可能性。通过论述探讨与古诗译本浅析,本论文提出:古诗留白美的保留和传递应不仅仅建立在语眼层面上,更应建立在认知层面上,尽量避开非必要的留白结构转变,应以最大化保留留自创造的效果为考量。在翻译历程中应该尽可能再现和传递原诗的留白美学效果,但由于中西语言的差别,完全保留古诗的留白美学艺术是不现实的,要充分考虑不同文化背景下读者接受的能力,由中西语言规范造成的差别可以在一定程度上进行弥补。关键词:意象突显论文留白艺术论文认知历程论文古诗英译论文
