摘要：合作原则是由美国著名语言学家保罗·格赖斯提出的,是语言学中十分重要的论述之一。根据合作原则,人们在日常交谈时需要遵循合作原则以使会话顺利进行,而交谈时违反合作原则便意味着产生新的会话含义。由于翻译是一种译者与原作者,以及译者与译文读者的书面的交际历程,所以合作原则也适用于翻译历程。一般而言,每部小说都是由人物和故事情节组成的,而人物间的会话是加强情感交流,推动故事进展的有效方式之一,由此人物会话的翻译显得尤为重要。作家让人物在会话历程中违反合作原则也是为了更好地刻画人物的内心世界。小说中人物违反合作原则而产生的会话含义能够体现人物的心理状态和感情活动。合作原则可以帮助译者更好地理解和翻译小说中的人物会话。译者在翻译小说人物会话时,一方面要利用合作原则理解人物会话中隐藏的会话含义,并把它显示在译文中；另一方面要把合作原则的四个准则作为语言翻译的准则,确保输出相同信息量并且准确通顺的译文,同时避开自己的译本产生新的,有歧义的会话含义。《爱玛》是简·奥斯汀作品中比较成熟和有影响力的一部。由于《爱玛》具有极高的文学价值,我国涌现出大量《爱玛》的中文翻译版本及复译版本。这些译本出现伊始,学术界对它们的探讨就以未停止过。本论文以合作原则角度对《爱玛》不同的中文译本中的人物会话翻译进行了探讨。我国著名翻译家张经浩先生和孙致礼先生所著的《爱玛》译本在国内具有较高的声誉,而两人的行文风格却有较大的不同。本论文通过比较这两个译本中会话的翻译,诠释合作原则是如何指导译者理解《爱玛》中人物的会话含义,以及译者是怎样利用合作原则更好地翻译原著中的会话。希望本论文的讨论浅析能为小说会话翻译提供一些借鉴,发现更好的译本以及翻译策略,为这一领域的探讨尽一点自己微薄之力。关键词：合作原则论文会话含义论文会话翻译论文比较探讨论文
