摘要:美国少数族裔文学引起了越来越多人的关注。芭拉蒂·穆克尔吉作为一位印度裔美国作家,常常被评论为关注在美国生活的印度女性的离散主题的女作家。她的作品《詹思敏》同样也被人如此评论。本论文将主要评析女主角詹思敏,这位以印度偷渡到美国的印度女性通过一系列的“暴力”而达成的身份转变,主要论述依据为后殖民女性主义。第一章,作者将会对印裔美国文学,小说《詹思敏》,以及芭拉蒂·穆克尔吉进行一个整体的回顾。同时,本章还会涉猎到其他评论家以往对小说《詹思敏》的探讨,尤其是作为一位印裔美国作家的穆克尔吉,她是站在印度还是白人社会的阵营?是否自我美国化?第二章,女主角詹思敏身份转变的原动力将会是主要的关注点。换句话说,詹思敏所承受的来自性别与种族的双重压迫是促使她最终转变的原动力,使得她能够有机会按照美国方式生活下去。在印度,詹思敏被印度的传统习俗牵住了思想,即使她有反抗的意识也没有能力去付诸实践。为了能够在新的世界生活下去,詹思敏采取了不同的对策使自己一步步的成为一个美国人,这正是第三章的主要内容。如果要想在这个新环境中存活,唯一的捷径就是必须完全地抛开原本的自己。在飘忽不定之后,詹思敏最终安定下来。但这不是终点,因为不断的变换地点是她存活的最主要的对策。关键词:后殖民女性主义论文印裔美国文学论文《詹思敏》论文本论文由www.7ctime.com,需要论文可以联系人员哦。ABSTRACT6-8
